TERMS & CONDITIONS

By accessing, using or purchasing from the RYDER DIAMONDS Site, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use.

We reserve the right to change or modify any of these Terms or any policy or guideline of the Site at any time, at our sole discretion. Therefore, you should frequently review these Terms and any other applicable policies from time to time to understand the terms and conditions that apply to your use of the Site.

You use this Site at your sole risk. You agree that you will be personally responsible for your use of this Site and for all of your communication and activity on this Site. We reserve the right to deny you access to this Site, or any part of this Site, at any time without notice.

Bespoke Jewellery Design and Confirmation

The buyers verbal confirmation of the purchase of the diamond(s) constitutes a confirmed sale and the buyer will be invoiced and 100% committed to the purchase.  The seller will request the buyer's approval of the design before the crafting process commences.  Any major changes to the design that cannot be modified at the mounting* stage will be allowed at the expense of the buyer.  Any major changes after the completion will also be borne by the buyer.

 * Mounting refers to the mid production item prior to diamonds being set.

Bespoke Jewellery Payment Terms

The deposit payment is required within one week of the sales memo date.  The balance of the sales memo will be due on the completion of the item and before collection or shipment.  If a payment is not received or payment method declined, the buyer forfeits the ownership of any items purchased. Any portion of the purchase price unpaid will be considered overdue.  All amounts overdue shall accrue interest from the date when the payment was due until the date of payment at a rate of 4% above the HSBC Hong Kong base rate.  In addition, the Seller shall have the right to pursue any remedies available at law or was provided herein and shall be entitled to reimbursement from Buyer for Seller's cost of collection, including attorney fees, legal fees and costs and disbursements.

Ownership

Ryder Diamonds retains ownership of all design work and the rights to use the designs in marketing materials and all other such uses.  

Taking care of your Ryder Diamonds piece of jewellery

Each piece of Ryder Diamonds jewellery is hand made rather than cast or machine made. Small imperfections should not be regarded as flaws, but rather appreciated as part of the art of hand crafted jewellery. Each of our pieces are carefully checked before presenting to a customer to ensure all claws are tight and the integrity of the jewellery is sound. The customer should also inspect the jewellery in close detail when new to acknowledge the state and condition of the piece. We will provide each client with photos of their piece for evidence of the condition when new. 

All diamond jewellery should be treated as precious and cared for carefully. Gold and platinum are surprisingly soft metals and can be damaged by knocks and blows. It's also a common misconception that diamonds cannot break. They absolutely can break or crack if knocked on hard surfaces. Designs that are more fine and delicate in detail, particularly those styles that have "wall" set diamonds require an even higher degree of care. Ryder Diamonds consultants will advise clients designing bespoke jewellery on the perils of certain designs that are more delicate or fragile so that the customer is aware of the degree of care needed to keep the ring in good condition. 

Knocks and bumps will naturally occur for pieces of jewellery worn on the hand. Ryder Diamonds recommends cleaning your diamond jewellery at least once per week to keep your piece in good condition. Liquid dish washing liquid and a soft toothbrush is recommended to use for cleaning. While cleaning we suggest to run your finger over claws to check for any sharp edges, which is a sign that a claw may have been pulled. Also after cleaning shake the ring close to your ear and if you can hear a rattle the claws on your ring need to be tightened. Regular checking of your piece will mean that repairs can be done before any diamonds are lost. 

It is suggested to get into a habit of taking rings off and keeping in a soft pouch while doing any sports or activities that could dirty or damage the ring. 

Particular care should be taken in the first few weeks of wearing your ring. From our experience we have found damage is most likely to occur in the first few weeks while getting used to wearing and caring for a ring. If a habit can be developed early of cleaning and checking your ring it should last a lifetime. 

Warranty

Ryder Diamonds will repair any manufacturing defects up to one year after purchase. Pieces must be returned to Ryder Diamonds for inspection by our jewellers to deem if the issue is a manufacturing fault or caused by damage. 

We aim to offer all of our clients a fair and amicable solution to cater to any problems. It is our aim to keep every client of Ryder Diamonds a happy and satisfied customer. 

Damage to diamond jewellery can naturally happen and we will gladly offer to do any repairs at minimum cost. 

Our repair schedule is as follows  (only applicable to pieces made by Ryder Diamonds)

Clean, polish and rhodium plating of 18k gold platinum ring (includes checking and reconditioning of any claws)- HK$800 per ring

Resize 18k gold ring (includes clean, polish & rhodium plating) - HK$1,000 per ring

Resize platinum ring (includes clean, polish & rhodium plating) - HK$1,200 per ring

Replace small diamond in 18k gold  or platinum ring (up to 0.03ct - includes clean, polish & rhodium plating) - HK$1,200

Repair crack or claws on 18k gold or platinum ring (includes clean, polish & rhodium plating)- HK$1,200

Add 18k gold lumps for resizing - HK$1,000, platinum - HK$1,200

Engraving - HK$600

Tighten of claws - Free of charge

* please note that overseas customers will be required to pay for shipping and insurance of their pieces. We offer the use of our Fedex account for ease of transportation, however costs will be born by the customer.

Unlike the majority of famous brand name jewellers who are notorious for the lack of customer care post sale, we are here to service our clients to ensure our Ryder Diamonds jewellery can be worn with joy and love. We will do our best to help with any unfortunate damage at the most reasonable cost.

Repair and remodelling of jewellery not made by Ryder Diamonds is not covered under this policy.

Electronic Communications

When you visit the Ryder Diamond website or send e-mails to us, you are communicating with us electronically. You consent to receive communications from us electronically. We will communicate with you by e-mail or by posting notices on this Site. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Ryder Diamonds, its independent contractors, service providers, employees, directors, agents, licensors, suppliers and consultants from and against any claims, damages, costs, liabilities and expenses (including, but not limited to, attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to any breach of the Terms by you or any other liabilities arising out of your use of this Site or the use by any other persons accessing this Site using your Internet account. We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you hereunder. This defense and indemnification obligation will survive these Terms.

Your Account and Registration

If you use this Site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. You must notify Ryder Diamonds immediately of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

Orders - Placement and Acceptance

Ryder Diamonds offers items for sale on the Site, at an offered price with an estimated delivery date.

The first time you make a purchase, you will be prompted to create a Ryder Diamonds account, enter your shipping and billing addresses and credit card information.

Any orders placed on this Site, which requires you to complete the online checkout process, constitute a binding offer by you to conclude a purchase with Ryder Diamonds for the selected item(s) at the price for such item(s) shown on our Site at the time the order is placed.

Upon receiving your order, we will send you an email confirming the details of your order ("Order Confirmation Email"), including the offered price, the amount charged to your credit card in Hong Kong Dollars, and the estimated delivery time. Our decision to send you the Order Confirmation Email constitutes our acceptance of your offer to purchase and forms a binding agreement. It confirms that we have received it and have commenced manufacture and delivery of the item(s).

We reserve the right not to accept your order at our discretion, for example: if we are unable to obtain authorization for payment; if your card issuer refuses payment; if shipping restrictions apply to a particular item; if your card is due to expire within 28 days of your purchase date; if the item ordered cannot be manufactured for any reason or does not satisfy our quality control standards and is withdrawn; or, if you do not meet the eligibility criteria set out within the Terms. We may also refuse to process and therefore accept a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time, at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by doing so.

All merchandise sold on our site is intended for personal use only, not for resale. Ryder Diamonds reserve the right to cancel orders that appear to be for resale purposes.

Shipping Cost

Ryder Diamonds offers free Fedex shipping and insurance of newly purchased jewellery, however the customer is responsible for duties and tax payable in your specific countries. This is made clear in the checkout process and can be verified by the customer before completing purchase. Each piece of jewellery will arrive in its own individual packaging. Where a customer has ordered multiple items, each item may be delivered in separate shipments or together in a consolidated shipment at the discretion of Ryder Diamonds.

Payment

All online payments must be made through Paypal. PayPal supports a large number of credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diner's Club and EnRoute.

Delivery 

Ryder Diamonds insures each purchase during the time it is in transit until it is delivered to your specified delivery address. We require a signature for any goods delivered, at which point responsibility for your purchased goods passes to you. If you have specified a recipient who is not you for delivery purposes (for example, as a gift) then you accept that evidence of a signature by them (or at that delivery address) is evidence of delivery and fulfillment by Ryder Diamonds and transfer of responsibility in the same way.

Please note that we aim to deliver within the estimated delivery window declared for each order. Estimated delivery times are to be used as a guide only and commence from the date of dispatch. We are not responsible for any delays caused by destination customs clearance processes.

Valuations and Insurance

We highly recommend to take out insurance on your purchase, particularly for the purchase of a ring. Naturally wearing on the hand, a ring is prone to knocks and bumps and damage to the metal and diamonds can occur. Insurance will protect against damage, loss or theft. For clients located in Hong Kong we have a recommendation for a wonderful broker who has arranged a deal for our clients providing great value for money. Upon your purchase we will provide a free valuation service which can be used for insurance purposes. 

Return Policy

We will accept returns within notification of 7 days of receipt of the Ryder Collection (shop) items only. Bespoke pieces cannot be returned. The customer is responsible to return the item in it's as new condition and is responsible for all shipping and insurance costs. 

Product Availability and Pricing

If you're interested in a piece of jewellery that is currently not in stock we advise that it will take between 4-6 weeks for delivery.

We do not negotiate prices on our products and all our prices are final.

Diamond Certificates

All our diamonds over 0.4ct will be accompanied with a GIA certificate which will be included in your delivery. Ryder  Collection (shop) pieces over 0.4ct will be graded GSI2 ex/ex/ex/none by GIA, pieces under 0.4ct will be graded as Collection SI- VS and do not come with certificates.

Ethical Sourcing

Ryder Diamonds only purchase diamonds through the most respected suppliers who, like us, proudly adhere to and enforce the standards established by the Kimberley Process, an international system that polices the trade of diamonds to ensure they are from sources free of conflict.

The Site and all content and other materials, including, without limitation, the Ryder Diamonds logo, and all designs, text, graphics, pictures, selection, coordination, 'look and feel', information, data, software, sound files, other files and the selection and arrangement thereof (collectively, the "Site Materials") are the proprietary property of Ryder Diamonds

Privacy Statement 

We understand and respect your concerns as to the privacy of any information you provide us. We will not distribute any details provided by you to any other third party or mailing lists.
